POI-2002 is a single-port POE power injector, also known as a midspan.
* IEEE 802.3af fully compliant
* Delivering power and data via a single Ethernet cable up to 100 metres
* Surge protection
* Remote power feeding up to 100 meters
* Plug and play, installation with ease
* PoE power budget: 15.4W
The POI-2002 POE power injector is used to inject power onto a single network data cable being run to a peripheral device such as a network camera.
Network peripherals with POE capability built-in will be able to accept the network RJ45 data plug directly into their network socket, and via their built-in POE capability will separate the power and the data feeds within the device.
POE can also be used with peripheral devices which do not have POE capability built-in. This is simply achieved by using a POE splitter at the device to separate the data and the power onto separate cables for connection to their respective sockets.
LevelOne POI-2002 is a Power over Ethernet Injector with one Ethernet Input (data only) port and one Output (data + power) port that is designed for small or medium network environments. This product can convert standard 100~240V/AC power into lowvoltage DC that runs over existing LAN cable to power up IEEE 802.3af compliant network accessories. It also features PoE awareness to verify whether the network device receiving power is IEEE 802.3af compliant, or only the data will be sent through LAN cable. By adding a PoE Splitter (POS-1002) to existing non-PoE networking equipment, installing networking products such as Access Points and IP cameras can easily be performed. Wireless device deployments are easily located without the need for power outlets and network administrators don’t need to use AC power adapters anymore.
* This is a replacement for the POI-2000
