This combination kit is the most cost-effective means to purchase the Injector and Splitter unit if you need this pair of devices to supply a single network peripheral which does not have built-in POE capability.
If you have selected a network peripheral which has POE capability built-in, you will not need a Splitter.
If you have multiple devices you may like to consider a POE switch with 4,8,16 or 24 ports.
