Sorry I meant to update. Yes I'm using Hik-Connect, although I understand that's being pulled shortly?
It started working a few hours later with no explanation.
Hi all
Over the weekend I started to first intermittently, and then permanently lose connection to remote access my cameras.
System is a HiWatch NVR-208M-A/8P.
I can still play back and view on the monitor at home, but when I log into the app I get this:
If I click on the "more" button it...
Who is the best supplier to buy from? I'm an end user doing a home install and they're all trade only.
I'm thinking of getting a 4mp Colorvu and a 4mp Darkfighter to compare at different spots around the house and see what works best before upgrading them all.
Thanks David. I'd happily put the Colorvu on the back of the house, but I don't want the front of the house to have bright LEDs. I know they're a deterrent but I don't want the place to look like a compound either!
I have a HiWatch NVR and 7 cameras (well 6 currently as one is on the blink). I have these at the minute:
Quality has never been great and I'm wondering if it's possible to get much better, or if my layout is just too difficult. I'm rural, with little or no ambient light unless there's a...
Thanks @steve1225
I haven't had a chance yet to check the firmware. I'm NHS staff so still at work.
However I noticed tonight that when I'm at home, the HD stream DOES work.
OK I thought, it's because the WiFi signal on my phone is so strong.
But then I turned off my 140mbps up, 30mbps down...
Hi
My system is actually HiWatch but I'm connecting via the Hik-connect app for remote viewing.
On the viewing screen I have 2 options, Basic & HD. My problem is that the app almost never loads up the HD version. It just times out at about 92% and gives a "260015" error.
Is this something I...
Got around to installing the new drive today. Surprised to see that it seems to have the slots and sockets for 2 drives.
Makes me wonder if it can manage more than 2tb. I suppose I could have fitted the 6 and the 2 and see what happened but I just swapped them over. Job done though.
This was what I was looking at:

I thought I was supposed to be reducing IR reflection, lol.
I get what you mean though.
Someone elsewhere suggested that I could illuminate the back yard by using an IR floodlight. Have you any experience/thoughts on that?
