Hope you are all well reading this.
I have a DS-7608NI-E2-8P-A NVR and a camera has failed. Can I simply unplug this camera and put a new one (Hikvision Turret 4mp 2.8mm DS-2CD2343G2-IU(2.8mm))?
I wasn't sure if the cameras are locked to the port for whatever reason.

On a side note, VCA says no device available, will this be because of the older Firmware on the cameras? The NVR is uptodate.

Im not sure if there has been much said about this, but is there a need to do updates in a certain sequence to bring the camera update? Or can I just pick the latest update and do that one?

Just a quick update, I had a thought last night of changing the passwords on the NVR under the cameras settings where you can select plug and play or manual to what it would have been and this worked, the cameras were back online. :)

Last night I did tick DHCP in network configuration directly on the NVR to get a network connection and this received an IP address that was relevant to my network. But this did nothing else.
