I see that new version sitting on the UK portal. I can only suspect it is to patch a security vulnerability. Have you noticed anything different? Think I will hold off updating. It's been over a year since they issued any new firmware for the I-series models.

Not had any issues with audio on my devices that I am aware of. Not sure if your from UK but on the UK portal, the next version down from 231028 was V5.7.13 230504 if that helps.

Interesting you should mention cats as I've noticed a few more notifications and when I look it's a cat!! Will have to see how annoying this gets and may consider a downgrade.

I think this has been done as a default now in Hik-Connect, to use the sub-stream when displaying multiple cameras. HD for me also greyed out. I would say that this is to reduce overhead and potential issues trying to display multiple cameras at one go.

Nice review. I've swapped out one of my old cameras for this new model and I am very impressed. As you say, got to play around with those settings a little to get the best picture. In time I will likely replace my other cameras as having IR/hybrid is a positive step forward.
