Thanks Phil,
Will have to investigate firmware upgrade options here in Aus for my DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P.
Gun shy on that as I bricked it about 18 months back attempting an upgrade & needed to ship it back to the distributors.
It returned a week later on Version V3.4.93 build 170714, & that was...
Hi All,
Just wondering if I can plug a camera port on my NVR into a switch & get to a remote camera from there.
Figured it would need a vLAN etc.
IE
NVR Port --> Untagged port vLAN 15 on 1st switch --> Tagged port on same switch (vLAN 15) --> Tagged port on 2nd switch (vLAN15)
Untagged...
900VA is pretty hefty for that application.
Mine, with 12 cameras is hanging of a 600VA APC SmartUPS & from memory the total load with 2 LCD monitors was about 120 watts.
Wouldn't expect the NAS would draw much.
I use either Line Crossing or Intrusion detection on all 12 or my cameras on a DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P.
Some cameras use both & have one of the events linked on a time schedule to the alarm output.
The alarm output is connected across the switch of a wireless doorbell so I get a notification inside...
VsPlayer includes a "Toolbox", it includes tools to split, merge & convert to other formats.
It's capable of converting the Proprietor MP4's to several other formats/
Take a look at it's manual, Page 16.
You can find the latest version in the Download Portal under Software.
If you still have the part with the plug attached, you could find someone who owns a multi-meter & knows how to use it.
They would be able to easily trace the 8 pins to their colours.
Phil.
This does make me wonder about dielectric grease in the connectors, to protect them against corrosion.
Searched that topic a while back with no great success.
Do know that my Davis Weather station, which has 6 RJ-11 jacks on it's control board did arrive this it's jacks all generously coated...
Thanks Phil,
Sort of get what you mean.
That camera is only catching knee down on the foot path.
But what I want to do is get the detection right, then schedule it for only late evening activity.
Extra IR illumination might be needed...
Any hints on that?
Phil
Anyone know if the length or position of a line has any baring on it's sensitivity?
Finding one of my setups is more reliable in one direction than the other, despite it being set at A<->B.
The area behaving improperly is at the top right of the frame.
Left to right traffic seems OK, but...
Ok,
Swapped the bad one out today.
Do this & you blow your warranty.
My eBay return hopes were zero so nothing to lose.
Don't try if you don't know about static charges & PCB's,
& small difficult to get back in screws involved.
Phil.
This what I found when I pulled it apart. Same as the...
Got an answer over on Ipcamtalk.
If I disable H264+ for a given camera on the DVR, then Face Detection appears under the Smart events when you access the camera via the Virtual Host.
If you try & access Face detection from the DVR, it reports that the camera does not support it.
My DVR is on...
All Same Model#, All WR.
Looking at the above serial#, is the..WD-I2017xxxxBBWR a build date?
That is slightly different.
Is Face detection supported by this model? DS-2CD2042WD?
