A 25 year career in networks would probably do that :)
Agreed, this isn't exactly a plug and play configuration, so happy if you want to remove the posts to stop any confusion.
Sorry if I didn't make this clear - Both the primary door station and the indoor station are in PoE ports on the NVR. The indoor station is connected to Hik-Connect, and calls and notifications come through on the app, and to the secondary indoor station, and to phone handsets that are...
Should probably add that there's a static route to the the camera subnet with the NVR LAN subnet address as the gateway added on the router, to allow return traffic...
The intercom is plugged into a PoE port on the NVR - DS-7608NI-I2. I do not have Hik-Connect on the NVR set up, but have configured this on the indoor station (also using a PoE port). I do have virtual host setting configured to allow the camera side LAN access through the NVR to the internet.

Issue persists when running on stream2 (i.e. low resolution)
(...but can view all four on stream2...
Wanted to come back on this. I bought a new iPad Air 4 and the issue goes away. As an experiment I hard reset my old iPad Air 2, installed iVMS-4500 afresh as the only non-default app and the issue remains, so looks like the app and older hardware are not compatible.
I've recently changed the logging on my firewall and have found that one of my four DS-2CD2355FWD-I cameras is hitting the firewall every 10 SECONDS for NTP, even though the setting is for 60 minutes. All four cameras are configured the same and are running V5.6.5 build 200316, but only one...
Interesting. Sticking point for me is my NVR (DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P) doesn't have a V4 firmware, latest is V3.4.103
Also, if I bypass the NVR and go direct to the camera, the issue is still there...
