Hiwatch NVR "DS" naming & firmware update

Hi

I own hivision "hwn-4104mh-4p" with 2 IP cameras.. More or less, its working fine without any big issues.
From september 2019 (buy day) it was showing "newest firmware installed".. no firmware for almost year ? No way... I was searching on internet and found hiwatch europe e-portal, where is my nvr categorized under "K74" and eyha, downloadable is "V3.4.104_190424", and i have "V3.4.100_180310"
The question is, can i trust this portal and install this update manually ?

Another question.

My NVR is named "hwn-4104mh-4p".. Witch is fine i can get it specs and so on.. But EVERYHWERE (compatibility list, firmware and so on) I see DS-XXX NVR naming and NON "HWN-XXX".. How do i get "DS" naming ?

Hi @Chucky

The HiWatch portal is the official portal for HiWatch firmware so there is no problem downloading from here.

DS- is the naming rule used by Hikvision's professional range, the HiWatch/HiLook products will always use the HWN- naming rule and there is no way to change this.

Is there some other site, where i can get really newest firmware ? Yesterday, i bought new camera, and it have newer firmware that is on E-Portal

The HiWatch Portal is the only official site for HiWatch firmware, sometimes if cameras/NVRs have come directly from the factory and spent very little time on the shelf of a UK/EU distributor they can sometimes have newer firmware than is currently available from the portals, it's the same for their professional range and usually within a few weeks to a month the portals will catch up.

I'v been looking for firmware for Hikvision NVR HWN-2104MH-4P and came across "HiWatch NVR Platform.pdf" (you have to create account on E-Portal to download it).
