hi everyone, i would like to try the hikvision ip video intercom kit. the kit consists of DS-KD8003-IME1, DS-KH6320-WTE1 or DS-KH6320-WTE1 or even DS-KH8350-WTE1, the fact is that how is the outdoor station powered? need a poe power supply? are there other hikvision video intercom kits?

Hi @ste92

The KD8003 Intercom and Indoor Station both support powering with standard 12v PSU or PoE

If you just need the basic doorbell/intercom functionality then the other option is the DS-KB8112-IM Vandal Resistant IP Video Intercom Door Station which does not require the indoor station and instead simply calls the Hik-Connect app it is linked to, and it can also record its live stream to an NVR.

If you need more advanced functions like keypad for access passwords or nametag buttons for calling different indoor stations in multiple rooms/flats/offices/etc... then we would stick with the 8003 modular intercom and the corresponding modules you need.

Aesthetically, flush-mounted 8003 is infinitely superior to any other option if you care what your entrance looks like. But totally useless if you were hoping to record video of your visitors.
