As long as all your Hikvision devices are joining the same network/domain range, then doing so via mesh should not cause any problems.

Hikvision NVR and 3rd Party POE Cameras

Hi @Ed Glaser Dahua Config Tool should find any Dahua device that is connected to the same local network as the PC you are running the tool on, we have had some problems in the past with the tool not working every time and you may have to refresh device list many times before the device appears...

Hikvision NVR & Onvif ip cameras

We don't currently have any ONVIF 3rd-party cameras connected to our demo Hikvision NVRs but we have tried it before and as far as I can remember the Hikvision software should not have any effect on the ONVIF devices password. I would recommend disconnecting the camera from the NVR, add it your...

    Alternative plugin to Web Components

sorry, we don't refer to it as 'resolution software' so that confused us, if you set the camera resolution to 720p then that is the resolution you will see where ever you view the camera, the only difference would be if the camera is connected & recording to an NVR where the NVR video settings...

    Alternative plugin to Web Components

I don't think this is an issue, we have never encountered having to set the resolution in the webcomponents, iVMS-4200 should just automatically adapt to the resolution of the screen you are using.

    Help with what to buy

    1) Yes, the 2455 Cube camera can be connected wirelessly 2) It is possible to use a remote with a Hikvision NVR but most people find it easier to operate the NVR on a direct monitor using a USB mouse. 5) Correct, the cameras can be directly connected to the NVR, connected to a PoE...

MacOS [Oct 2019] iVMS-4200 software for Mac

The screenshot in that post is of a glitch in the iVMS-4200 GUI in which the device management page is showing where the live view images should be displayed, it is not the same glitch but very similar. The firewall pop-up can probably be fixed by adding iVMS-4200 to the safe software list in...

MacOS [Oct 2019] iVMS-4200 software for Mac

Another iVMS-4200 user reported a similar issue with GUI glitching but they were on a PC, nobody else had reported this and lots of people seem to be using iVMS without a problem so we had assumed this was an issue with the Macs/PCs of the users reporting this...

    Help with what to buy

Answers to your questions are below: 1) Take a look at this forum post explaining the differences between the Hikvision 16-channel NVR options. 2) Only certain camera models support audio or built-in mic, I will explain which ones do and don't in my below recommendations. Camera...

Hik-Connect Remote playback on iOS app

That would appear to be the latest firmware, unfortunately, unless you bought these HiWatch products from an authorised Hikvision reseller you are unlikely to get much support with it. Hikvision released HiWatch, lots of sellers bought large amounts of stock and then less than a year later...

Hik-Connect Remote playback on iOS app

If it is affecting all 3 cameras then it is most likely to be an NVR firmware issue, you won't be able to do anything about this until you can get direct access to the NVR on your local network. Also, we have never sold HiWatch and so we have very little experience with it and I can't find any...

Do not update to this model ds-2cd2041g1-idw1

Thank you for sharing this information as it does appear you cannot downgrade from this firmware, I would recommend if you are seeing issues with menus not displaying correctly that you clear the browser cache, if you still see issues then I would reboot the camera and finally I would try hard...

Hik-Connect Remote playback on iOS app

Hi @PatrickCollins92 Can you provide more details of your system please, what models of NVR and/or cameras do you have? What firmware versions are they running?

    IP Camera Help

It should be possible to connect the NVR to a backup power supply. We have a small battery backup for some of our demo system and that works quite well when we have a power cut, just make sure it is a reasonably large battery pack on the backup as the NVRs can draw a lot of power. (our small...

    IP Camera Help

The 2385G1 Turret has 3-axis of adjustment so you can position it on a vertical, horizontal, or any angle in between. You are correct that we do not sell to South Africa so it is unlikely we will be able to provide you with any equipment, if you do buy from another seller you can always post any...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2T85FWD-I8

The difference in night performance will be marginal as the 4MP actually has a slightly larger sensor than the 2MP (1/2.5" on the 4MP vs. 1/2.8" on the 2MP)
  17. Dan

    Hikvision DS-2CD2T85FWD-I8

Yes, that and the max. fps are the only key differences. You will see it says that that the 2MP model can only achieve 60fps at 1.3MP while the 4MP can do 60fps at 2MP.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2T85FWD-I8

See the below PTZ spec table, all 3 of the models you are looking do NOT support auto-tracking. It is only the first 3 ranges shown above (DE7, DE4A, DE5) that support auto-tracking.

    IP Camera Help

    1. If you are connecting all the cameras to the PoE ports on the NVR then the basic setup is fairly simple, it does get more complicated when setting up some of the advanced features like remote access, smart events, email notifications, etc... 2. As above you can run the cameras without a PoE...
