NVR and PoE switch make/model? What have you tried and did you get any errors?

A couple of ways you can do it. I find the easiest way as follows:

- Connect to the web interface of the IP camera, activate it with a password and change the IP address only to 192.168.254.xxx. I usually use 100 plus the camera number for cameras not directly connected to a PoE port. IE Cam 4 would be 192.168.254.104. The camera will reboot with the new address.

- On the NVR local interface go to the camera menu and select the edit button on the channel that you want to add the camera to. In the pop up box that appears change Plug and Play to Manual, change the IP address to suit what you entered in the camera and enter the admin password.

- Connect the switch to the NVR PoE port and the camera will come online

The reason I connect the camera to the PoE switch or the PoE switch to the port LAST is that if you do it the other way round, the Plug and Play setting on the camera channel that you are connecting to will override the manual IP address you set up in the camera
