Hello,

I try to find the latest firmware for my HikVision DVR, model: DS-7208HQHI-K1

In present it runs on V3.5.32 build 180129 witch is very outdated.

Please indicate me the right firmware to use:

I know that is a K72 model.

Thanks!
If it's K72 then you just want the latest version which is at the bottom of the page you linked. As it's a major change between version 3 and version 4 firmware, you should first update to 4.20.000. Once the recorder reboots and starts on that version, clear your browser history, login again and update to 4.30.120. The reason for clearing browser history between updates is that the web page menu may be different in the newer version resulting in a page not found error if you don't clear the history. You can of course also carry out the update by loading the file onto USB if you wish.

FYI the onscreen user interface and menu will change dramatically so you'll have to learn your way around the operation again.

Hello @JB1970,

Thanks for your answer.

I've done the upgrade to V4.25.000 build 200925 and everything seams to work normal.

I don't think that all firmware versions are for all K72 or K72A series.

In versions with Release Notes, they specify for witch device is that firmware for.

But there is a list on Portal with latest Firmware for each DVR type:

There, this DVR is told to have the version: V4.25.001 build 201107

But the link if for V4.25.000 build 200925

Everything is so confusing from Hikvision Portal and info . . .

Thanks!

It is confusing with the DVR platforms. However with the version I pointed you to, once you click on the folder for that version, there were two folders inside - one named K72 and the other K72A. So as long as you know what platform your DVR is, it wouldn’t be possible to load the wrong version as the folder would only be there if it’s compatible.

I have another question:
Is there a way to have 1080p Stream, recording at 25fps?

Attached Data Sheet specs.

No the HQHI is 1080P @ 15FPS. The HUHI model will do 5MP at 12FPS or 1080P @ 25FPS. The limitation on the recording is in the DVR.

Thanks!

I switched from a 7104HQHI-K1(B) Value Series, that records 1080p at 25fps, hoping that the Pro Series 7208HQHI-K1 can do at least the same. :(

The 7104HQHI-K1(B) is also only 15fps at 1080P. There is a 1080P lite mode that you can switch on that allows 25fps, on both your previous and current model. I wouldn't bother however as it's not a true 1080P and you would potentially be sacrificing image quality for a few extra frames per second - it's not worth it.

yes, you are right.
confused, my NVR frame rates are much higher at 1080p.

I successfully update my DVR to latest firmware: 4.25.001 build 211207.
Everything works as expected.
