DS-KB6403-wip will not reset

Help please - I have an issue with reseting the password using SADP, after obtaining a file to load for the reset and entering the new password on the SADP tool all I get when entering is "failed to reset password. device denied" the password shows green so I presume the entered is correct. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong would be appreciated.

How long was it between exporting the reset file and receiving the file to perform the reset?

Did you keep the doorbell powered on all the time you were waiting to receive the reset file?
