Email alert pre-event

I have successfully set up email notifications directly from the cameras and received the three captures for the intrusion and line cross events. The problem is that the first capture is two seconds after the event, thus the action is generally gone. Is there a way to have the notifications (say) two seconds pre-event, event time, two seconds post event?

Try experimenting with the Expert settings. Up the Sensitivity first, it may trigger the alert sooner. The percentage slider takes into consideration the size of the object (to my understanding).

There are no Expert settings for Smart events, only Basic events.

You are spot on, I was thinking motion detection. Sensitivity still would be a good place to start. I'll dig some more and get back to you about pre-event options. Please keep us posted.

Wanted to come back on this. I've played with a number of settings and somehow have made the interval four seconds rather than two. I have no idea how I did this, so am trying to go back through and reduce the interval.

Any pointers on where this value is?
