Face detection

Hi guys
I've enabled face detection on a couple of my cameras, but I (maybe mistakenly) thought the NVR would capture and store stills of the faces etc. I can't seem to find where that is, if it does. Otherwise, how can I use face detection, please? Any input gratefully received!

Config for example is DS-7608NI-I2 with a DS-2CD2385G1-I camera.

NVR and camera both on latest firmware I believe.

DS-2CD2385G1-I is on V5.6.2 build 190701 whilst the DS-7608NI-I2 is on V4.21.008 build 190625

I've managed to get face detection working but the algorithm is far from accurate. Unless the face is directly looking at the camera and the head angled dead center, it doesn't easily trigger. I've only done cursory testing with the camera but plan to test with my NVR in the next couple of days. I'll put a guide together if I make any progress.
