Would love to see a system "pause" feature added to the 4200/4500 apps. There are plenty of times that we are home during scheduled smart alert hours, such as vacations, days off work, etc. It would be nice not to be inundated with email alerts for hours at a time. Surely this can be worked into the app feature set.

Hi @fullboogie

4500 is the older app and doesn't receive many feature updates, the ability to enable and disable alarm notifications as and when you want is a feature of the newer Hik-connect app, see page 39 of the Hik-connect user manual - http://nesscorporation.com/Brochure/Hik-connect-Mobile-Client-Software-(iOS)-User-Manual.pdf

I also would assume that you can enable and disable notifications in the 4200 software or customize the alarm schedule so the alarms are not activated when you are home. See page 64 of the 4200 user manual for how to enable and disable on-screen notifications for alarms - https://www.hikvision.com/ueditor/net/upload/2017-10-23/5fa9222e-1d76-4994-8b56-0c87d7fa4d16.pdf

Close, but not what I'm hoping for. I don't want to reconfigure my alarm schedule from the app or make any other changes. Just the ability to tell my NVR "take a break, don't send me any alert emails until further notice" with the push of one button.

I thought this was possible in the 4500 App.
Called 'arm'?

No such feature on my app. I also don't like having to give Hik all my login information, having to forward ports, and routing all my video fees through Hik using the HikConnect app. From a security standpoint, 4500 is much better for someone like me wanting remote video viewing and email alerts only.
