Firmware upgrade UK DS-2CD2347G2-LU

Hi

I have just bought the DS-2CD2347G2-LU and would like to upgrade the firmware on this camera, Can anyone point me to the correct location, Every firmware file I download wont work with this camera when in fact the pages I visit say it does, I get the following error when I try to upgrade "The type of upgrade file mismatches".

I currently have Firmware: V5.5.134 build 200430 installed out of the box, I'm hoping the update will provide RTMP but not sure if that is supported for this camera yet, I tried installing the firmware that Dave over at DVS was talking about in the YouTube video but that didn't work either.

Any help would be helpful

Apologies, the firmware that Dave is using is a custom patch firmware to introduce this RTMP feature and is not currently available from the Hikvision download portal.

In one of the comments below Dave's video, he shared a link to a dropbox download for this patch firmware.

Ok, it may be that as there have been several firmware releases since this 5.5.131 version they have disabled this patch firmware and rolled its features into one of the newer versions.

Since updating to v5.5.160 have you checked for the RTMP feature in the menus?

If it is not there then I can only think that Hikvision is still developing a new update with this feature included that will be released sometime in the future.

I bought 2 new DS-2CD2T46G2-4I (C) Acusense cameras recently and figured out that they have a new firmware. It is labelled as G5 and the G3 version will report the error of file mismatch. The version that is patched is V5.5.114 and works on the G5 type cameras. They have a (C) behind the model name on the box.

The new Colorvu series might also be using this firmware.

I find that the G5 cameras are way inferior to the G3 5.5.160 when it comes to filtering out false alarms.

Unfortunately, the G1 models use different firmware to the G2 models. The correct firmware families are linked below:

2xx6G1/2xx7G1 - G1+M Platform
2xx6G2/2xx7G2 - G3 Platform
2xx6G2(C)/2xx7G2(C) - G5 Platform

2xx6G1/2xx7G1 - G1+M Platform
2xx6G2/2xx7G2 - G3 Platform
2xx6G2(C)/2xx7G2(C) - G5 Platform

For the G1 ColorVu @Paul2021 mentioned (2347G1) - its the standard G1 firmware (latest version 5.6.5) and not the G1+M (that's just for the short lived first generation of AcuSense)

@JB1970 The generation of this camera is a G2 product but you mention G1 when I look at the supported models on the G1 page my camera isnt listed ?

Apologies - I'm a bit confused!

Your original post asked about updating a DS-2CD2347G1 but your screen shot shows a DS-2CD2347G2 - which camera do you have? If the screenshot in post #12 is from your camera then it's a G3 platform camera and you already have the latest firmware loaded.

i have the DS-2CD2347G2 Dan, but im also confused as the screen shot i provided shows B-R-G3-0 I would assume this means G3

Most models ending G2 in the part code are G3 platform (thank Hikvision for confusing us all with that one)
The models ending G1 in the part code are G1 platform
