I am hoping someone can help me. About 9 months ago my system stopped recording and I got a contractor out to have a look. he restarted it all and told me if it failed again it would need a new hard drive.
It worked fine up till last week when I got the same error. I logged into the HD management page and found it in recover mode. I pressed the execute button and followed the instructions to restart and it was fine for 3 days when it stopped again so I have done the same thing.
Having looked at the menu, there are these options Recover, Read/Write, Read only, Format, do I need to change to read/write and press execute again, and would it be better to format rather than recover, I realise that will lose any recordings but wonder if it gives a cleaner start, any help much appreciated
