Hdd showing as uninitalized

Hi, I've been having a few issues with a hdd in a hikvision nvr showing as failed but after a reboot it clears and shows fine. Today it now displays as uninitalized. How can I initalize this but still keep the content in the drive as the drive is full with recordings?

There is no way, as far as I know, that you can initialise and keep the HDD contents.
Initialising the HDD will re-format and wipe the HDD.

Thanks so the hdd has failed and needs to be re-initialized

If it keeps failing, the HDD may need to be replaced.

You mentioned that you can sometimes get it to show-up OK after a reboot - if you can repeat that, then run the HDD diagnostics in the Configuration -> Storage section and see if it gives you any further clues.
