any ideas what would be best please

As in completely wireless?
Battery powered cameras?
If so, I'm afraid that we don't offer anything.

People used to speak well of Arlo.
I'm not sure whether they offer a 16-camera NVR recorder box.

118° is right at the very widest end of viewing angles available.
Wide is not necessarily good.
The wider the view, the smaller the people in it i.e. a very low chance of identifying an intruder unless they are very close to your cameras.

Others may be able to offer you more useful/relevant/experienced opinions than us, as I say we don't offer (never get hands-on) with battery-powered wireless CCTV cameras.

You'll have trouble finding a wires-free battery operated camera which works with an NVR. You might have to settle for cameras with SD card slots from a company such as Reolink which includes a good free software VMS.

But I wouldn't recommend wi-fi for mission critical security applications because there's always a lag.
