Hi, I've installed hikvision camera and NVR. I'm viewing it on hikconnect software somewhere else. If device gets offline how do i know? Is it possible to trigger a mail notification for that?

It might depend on which NVR you are using, but I think enabling the Video Loss Detection event is the way to do it. To do this you need to log into the NVR's web browser interface and follow the path:
Configuration > Event > Basic Event > Video Loss
Then select your camera from the dropdown and fill the arming schedule so it's completely blue to have the event constantly enables, or set this schedule however you like:
You can then set the NVR to send an email or Hik-Connect push notification as soon as it loses the video feed on that camera by ticking 'Sent Email' or 'Notify Surveillance Centre' (for Hik-Connect) in the Linkage Method tab:

That only works if it's just a camera that goes offline. If the NVR goes down it's not sending any emails.
