This is a recurring topic and there its difficult to find documentation to talk you through setting up an alarm or audio devices via the IN/OUT connections. After a bit of digging I managed to find these tutorial documents by Hikvision. Hopefully they'll help! Let me know how you get on.

I took a picture to try to work out what the terminals are and this is quite concerning because the datasheet states 2 (see after the first image) line ins but terminals only seem to show mono. We need stereo because we were going to use the cameras to record stereo feed from the mixing desk 
So have I misunderstood what the green terminal connection are are are the datasheets wrong?
