Ok at a bit of a loss here, this has been working perfect for a while, now it isn't.

Basic checks

1) Email account? Sent test email to all 3 users in group. Works ok.
2) Check intrusion detection

Area 1 is Yellow

I have also checked in Event logs nothing showing here when i jump around like a loonie in the zone of camera D1, any ideas here? Im loathed to do a full factory reset but i don't know what else. Help appreciated!

Enable "Rules" and you should be able to see if you are triggering motion detection.
As your logs show nothing, then probably not.

Thanks for your input here. Enabled rules and retried rebooted device even, no difference and nothing in logs.

Checked logs and found the day it stopped working, nothing untoward here i have IVMS running on my windows desktop machine which i guess are these login logouts from the 192.x host (intentionally omitted detail) Up until then there were 1000s of motion detection logs.

Enabling Rules just lets you see/verify that detection is working.
You should see a box around/highlighting detected events.

I do, well when watching the postman walk up the drive both blue boundaries turned red on ivms4200 via my PC as the postman walked through them which were 2 Intrusion detection zones on camera1 (D1)

However i then flicked to logs and see nothing registered there Normally do.

Probably a configuration problem with events/actions than.
Perhaps upload screenshots of you configuration and we'll take a look.

Can i I do via config export is that easier or just screen shots on wondering that would be better from a support perspective anyway

I can see from the last screenshot that your NVR is not running the latest firmware so I would suggest updating to the latest v4.21.005 firmware and see if the problem persists.

Tried upgrading earlier from web console didnt like it. Can I just confirm process do I extract file from zip and point at that. Maybe il put on mem stick and do it direct on nvr. Thanks for your time

What browser did you use when trying to upgrade the firmware? as you are running an old firmware version you may have issue accessing the NVR through Chrome, Firefox, Safari and most other browsers as they removed support for the plug-in that Hikvision uses. This means that while running the old firmware the only way to get full access to the NVR using a browser is to use Internet Explorer, if you are a Mac user or don't have access to Internet Explorer you will need to update using iVMS-4200 or directly using a USB stick.

Thanks Dan going to try direct see what happens. I was using the old IE not Edge due to as you say plugin issues with new browser, going to try USB stick see what happens.

Ok tried to upgrade direct and this occurred

Anyway as i was typing this we had a power cut on the RCD rail which included NVR. Guess what, Intrusion detection has started working. I had rebooted a few times but not cold reboot. Effing thing.

Still not sure about the above though seen that before? Thanks for your help here all the same.

Just for anyone reading this thread:

RESOLVED: COLD REBOOT NVR (POWER DOWN / UP)

Thanks for the update, it is not a message we have seen before. We have seen problems before where upgrading through too many firmware versions in one go doesn't work so maybe try updating to the last v3.4.xxx firmware before upgrading to the v4 firmware.

The last firmware version before the v4 firmware was v3.4.104

Ok i tried to firmware upgrade again now the NVR had cold rebooted, worked fine. Now on the v4.21.005 and works like a treat. Thanks again to you and Phil for your help here.
