I have this indoor unit which is software version 2.1.2 200321 working with a Hikvision DS-KH6113 IP Video Intercom System on the latest software version however this is academic.

My issue is you are able to add additional camera’s to be viewed from the 6230, when I add an ANPR camera 2CD4A26FWD it works perfectly on port 554, although it’s not the camera I want to view, when I am any of my several 2CD2385FWD I get an error of network exception. I though it might be because they are set to 256+ however that is not it as I’ve tried even on 254, they are on port 554 like the other anpr camera’s but I cannot get them to work, I have also tried all other ports listed in the 2CD2385FWD setup so 80, 443, 8000, 8443 without success.

I’ve added a few photos of the intercom camera working, the anpr camera working and it’s settings screen, a 2385 camera setting screens but the exception message I get when I try and view.

If you put all your cams on the same port only one will work. Assign each cam its own port number.

I shall give this a try shortly however I do have two of the ANPR camera and they are both on the same port and both work well on this internal unit

I've tried changing the camera and the indoor unit to different HTTP ports then hanged that back and tried different RSTP ports and i still get the same error

What are your camera sub-streams set to? They need to be H264 and within the resolution supported by the video intercom (1024x600 in the case of the KH6230). If either H or W is set to higher then I don't think you will see the feed.

Thanks for your thoughts, tried that and had both the same, ANPR cameras work fine 2385 still get the error message. Photos below of the screen settings

Have you enabled DHCP on the 6230? If you do that it should mine the IP addresses of all your Hik cameras automatically, without changing the default port number. Once it has got the IPs you can turn DHCP off again.

Otherwise, if your camera IPs are showing in SADP Tool, you should be able to add them manually.

All devices do need to be in the same network segment for the 6230 to see them.

You cannot turn on DHCP as this is connected to my home network and my Internet providers router provides IP addresses to everything with the exception of all my Hikvision equipment, everything is all in the same network group just higher up numbers that wouldn’t get assigned as I don’t have that many things connected to the network

I've only now looked at the images attached to your OP and noted your device channel number. All my added cameras are assigned to channel 1. If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

PS. All my added cameras are also on port 554 (even though I have forwarded their port numbers for another reason) so you don't need to assign each camera its own forwarding port, albeit you might want to if you ever want someone to access your live stream remotely.

Thanks for your help, making the camera channel 1 has made these work after months of wondering what was wrong, bizarrely the ANPR Hikvision’s are channel 1 & 2 so I had called the others 3,4,5, and so on.

The 2385 clearly don’t like this and only like channel 1. I did wonder that the fact my ANPR cameras had different settings that channel 1 was main stream and channel 2 was sub stream so tried the 2385’s on channel 2 and I get the same error so that’s not the case.

All very bizarre.

just spent 2 hours wondering why I couldn’t get one of them to work as 5 were working fine initially, and after much checking it was the sub stream set to 265 and not 264.

I hope my experience and your help will help others in the future reading this.

Pleased to hear it as I have other fish to fry, like sleeping, eating, sleeping and eating, in that order.
