The Hikvision EasyIP 3.0 family of cameras was released in the Spring of 2017.
It includes a range of cameras in
3MP, 5MP and 8MP resolutions.
This family supersedes the
EasyIP 2.0 Family and includes lots of features that have made them the most popular cameras to date.

Key Features
  • Range of focal lengths -
  • H.265+ video compression -
    • Hikvision literature states that H.265+ offers a 83.7% saving on bandwidth over H.264 and a 66.8% saving on bandwidth over H.265
    • 82.5% saving on storage over H.264 and a 66.4% saving on storage over H.265

    • PLEASE NOTE: Datasheets may state a codec of H.265 but this is simply because they were created before H.265+ was available
  • EXIR 2.0 LEDs -
    • EXIR 2.0 LEDs are an improvement on Hikvision's previous EXIR (EXtended InfraRed) LEDs.

    • With previous Hikvision families only selected models supported on board storage
    • Every model in the Hikvision EasyIP 3.0 family has a built-in micro SD card slot
  • IP67 rated weatherproof housing (Selected models) -
    • IP66 rated weatherproof housing was the standard for previous families such as the R0/EasyIP 1.0 and R6/EasyIP 2.0.
    • IP66 = Able to protect against powerful water jets
    • IP67 = Able to protect against immersion up to 1m

Finding Firmware
These EasyIP 3.0 cameras use the G1 Platform firmware.
To find the latest firmware for your camera please see our thread on finding the latest Hikvision firmware for your camera.
