HikVision Firmware Update via SD Card

I have a Hikvision camera that went bad when doing a firmware update.

It appeared to go OK and asked to be rebooted but since reboot it does not get an IP address, I can see it has an IP6 address and Mac address but no way to access it.

I tried HikVision SADP tool but it does not see it either.

So I was wondering if there is some hidden facility to reflash firmware by putting the DAV file on an SD card and pressing some sort of reset button combination?

There must be a way to flash this via a local file when you can't load inbuilt webserver or SADP tool?

Maybe there is a reset button code that makes it fall back to a smaller webserver to load firmware?

Right now it is not even picking up a DHCP address from router.

Any help would be appreciated!

If SADP is unable to find the camera, it might be worth bringing it back in and bench-testing with a new network cable.

When a firmware update goes bad, a Hikvision camera will typically default back on to a "safemode" firmware, v4.0.8, which runs the bare minimum of processes but is still visible on SADP.
