Hikvision POE switch failling

Hi,
I have got a hikvision 8 port POE switch, and have just installed 5 cameras to connect to it. The strange thing is the switch only stays alive if I plug in 1 perticular camera cable. Any of the other 4 take the switch down leaving no lights on the switch whatsoever including the power.
What could be causing this?
Longest cable run is probably about 35m.

Sounds odd, are you using bought cables?
As cabling/core errors on home-made cables is one possibility that springs to mind.
