Hi Guys, my first time here, Retired a while ago, my last install of cctv was long ago, co-ax, external power supplies, CRT screens etc.
Decided to fit cameras at home, using Hikvision exir network turrets. Fitted first one yesterday, fairly pleased with picture quality, but overnight the lens misted, reading other posts it seems this is not uncommon so hoping this will clear. I'll keep you posted!
Also, using CAT5E (not CCA) cable, I've wired the plugs using T-568B convention, is this the 'norm'?
P.S. There's some Good info on your site.
Thanks

Hi,
Yes, that is the standard wiring convention.
Hopefully your misting will clear within 24 hours.

Thanks for the feedback.

I got a turret for my rear garden and fixed on soffit. Suffered terrible misting on first night outside which continued into second day (during the day).
I took it down for disassembly.
Removed the camera's 2x internal screws to release the assembly inside the ball and wiped the internal glass of the turret, not the camera lens.
Reassembled and refitted.
Has been fine since.
