Hello,

I am considering the purchase of a few Hikvision IP cameras and an 8 channel network DVR for a recreational vehicle park. We have a wireless broadband Internet connection with 2Mbps up, 20 Mbps down. Wondering if the upstream bandwidth will be sufficient to view video streams remotely and manage the DVR settings.

Any thoughts as to how well this may work (or not)?

Thanks

Should work with no problems on Handy/Tablet App. Maybe on real stream with ivms4200 (PC) could lag some stream.

I have seen it working with just 0.5Mb/s uplink, but obviously the better the uplink the better it performs..

I would recommend an NVR at site, then you can be sure that you have always recorded locally in best quality - even if you have problems remote viewing with your App.

Very good, thanks for the feedback. Yes, my plan is to put the NVR at the site. We're there on the weekends, but want to be able to occasionally view live cameras and recorded video events when we aren't there. Sounds like it should work ok with 2Mbps up which is reassuring.
