I've got this issue with my Hikvision DS-2CD6365G0-IS that is connected (NFS) to a DS218j NAS where I cannot find the snapshots that are scheduled at a 5 minute interval.
I can see them on the webapp of the camera but not on the NAS.
On the NAS folder I can only find the videos that the camera is sending but not the photos.
Instead of the photos 12 folders get created named "datadir0" to "datadir11" with files segmented into ".pic" and ".mp4" and also "pic_segment_db_indexXXXXX" (where XXXXX is the number of the photos).
How can I see the photos on the NAS &/or mount them?
I need these for a timelapse project, any help is welcomed.

I already went through that guide it helped a bit with setting them up.

The problem is another, can i only see the pictures on the camera app and not on the NAS storage ?

If so is there any way i could set up an SD card onto the camera and make it backup the pictures daily or weekly to the SD and send them to the NAS ?

Are you using ftp?
I had thought that scheduled ftp was pretty straightforward now.

Is your camera running the latest firmware?

I am not using FTP , or atleast not corectly i think.
Do you know any guide about using the ftp function in concordance with a NAS ?

Check this tutorial video for SD card ftp timelapse, hopefully you can extrapolate:
