Not seen this posted anywhere, but the issue is also mentioned in the app reviews on AppStore.

Using iVMS-4500 on iPad, when selecting "clear" resolution, the right 2/3 of the display displays as green box, with no image. Using "fluent" doesn't experience the issue, image is displayed correctly. Nor is the issue experienced on iPhone using iVMS, or on any desktop.

Issue is shown whether connecting to NVR (DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P on V3.4.103 build 181226) or on any camera directly (multiple DS-2CD2355FWD-I on V5.6.5 build 200316). It's been doing this since app update to 4.7.7 (now on 4.7.10), and on older camera firmware versions.

Has anybody experience/resolved this, or perhaps @Dan - could this be referred to HikVison?

I've never seen the issue. I use iVMS on an iPad as a monitor in the bedroom. I can switch between fluent and clear without issue. That's been the case with 3 different recorders - 7608l E2, 7608K2 and 7616I2 all on various firmwares.

iVMS is unlikely to get any further updates as Hikvision seem to be pushing everyone toward Hik Connect. Both iVMS and Hik Connect have various bugs and issues and neither is perfect.

Yes, I used to have that issue. I’ve since upgraded the NVR to v4 firmware and the green block has gone. ....however now my NVR backend crashes every 1-2 days and locks me out. I can’t login or playback via The Hik-Connect or iVMS apps! It’s been very frustrating using Hikvision software.

Interesting. Sticking point for me is my NVR (DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P) doesn't have a V4 firmware, latest is V3.4.103

Also, if I bypass the NVR and go direct to the camera, the issue is still there...
 
Yes, only v3.4.103 for yours. i Have the K1(B) model, but I’ll be downgrading it to 3.4.112
 
Wanted to come back on this. I bought a new iPad Air 4 and the issue goes away. As an experiment I hard reset my old iPad Air 2, installed iVMS-4500 afresh as the only non-default app and the issue remains, so looks like the app and older hardware are not compatible.
