With regard to this text above:
*for G1(DS-2CD3XX5, DS-2CD3XX3) Cameras

I have just updated a 2385 turret camera to V5.5.60 without problem, and no detriments/issues spotted yet.
Not sure what that text means.
I really hope it does NOT mean that some sub-versions of G1 firmware are for some models only - Hikvision's firmware selection is complex enough already!

Thanks Phil, I upgraded the following G1 series cameras today using this firmware and all went without any issues.
2T55
2355
2385

Upgraded several G1s including my own two 2185s and my 2385, no issues so far. The new HLC feature is very good. With this on my 2385 I can now read number plates from the night view, whereas before they were just a mega-bright reflection from the IR illumination!

Shame there's still no fix to the issue I'm seeing with the still image capture corruption from the 8 Megapixel G1s.

Replace the string 2CD3 with 2CD2 everywhere in that release note and the models should then be correct. ;-)

Hi Rick,

We believe that these are potential new models hence (sample) after the codes. Hikvision have never renamed anything from 2CD2 to 2CD3.

That first number historically denotes different lines i.e-

DS-2CD2042 = 2 Line
DS-2CD4A26 = 4 Line
DS-2CD63C2 = 6 Line

Perhaps the'll be introducing even more new cameras part of the G1 family soon!

Hi - the firmware seems to have been removed.

Latest G1 firmware listed is now 5.5.53

Any idea why?

You are correct.
Sorry, no idea what Hikvision are doing!
