I have a hikvision ds-2cd2042wd-i 4mp camera my cat 6 cable has a split pair error 1/2. Can I replace pair 1/2 with another unused pair. I am running PoE with a DS-7604NI-E1/4P
Need spare pair to prevent cable change

@Porsche0911 is it a homemade cable? If the rj45 connectors are clear plastic you should be able to see the bad end and replace it.

It was a purchased cable. I had a split 1,2 error on the tester. Chanced both ends and had the same split 1,2. switched blue and brown pair and cable tested all pairs OK. The camera is running now.
data / poe is usually on the green / orange pairs. I wouldn't buy another patch cable from that company.
