Hi all,
Please excuse my lack of knowledge on larger systems, I have installed some panasonic analogue kits almost 10 years ago and trying to get back into it.....
I have a customer looking to move off their existing system they currently have an American Dynamics Video Edge system it looks like there is 6 seperate units,
I have only seen photos and it looks like they are using analogue cameras, there is around 150 of these,
I was looking at moving them onto Hikvision, I see there is the Hikvision DS-96128NI-I16 which has 128 channels however it is IP,
What would be the best encoder to get to make these analogue cameras run on the Hikvision? I am aware I am still a few channels short, would a second Hikvision unit perhaps of smaller size be the best option? I cannot see anything bigger
Also would American Dynamics analogue cameras run on Hikvsion okay?
Please forgive me if these questions are silly, I have just a small amount of knowledge

My preferred route would be to use a software on a server solution such as Luxriot.
And use capture cards to connect your existing analogue cameras.
We have done this previously with casinos with high camera counts.

Stand-alone encoders, to convert analogue to IP, are expensive.
And eventually you throw them away.

You would need at least two server setups for 150 cameras.
Probably more just to allow the fitting of sufficient capture card channels.
