A few months ago we reviewed the impressive DS-2CD2112-L. The review has gained over 400 views and HikVision products have steadily grown in popularity since we began to stock them, with excellent customer feedback. However, customers have been requesting this camera with different lenses, and as of last week we now offer a 2.8mm, 4mm and 6mm version of this camera.

These new additions to the camera range really do enhance capability for the end user as you can purchase a camera more precisely suited to your application. Here at use-IP, we’re really pleased with these cameras. Our new sample footage compares each camera and allows customers to choose the most appropriate lens for their requirements.

In the past, we have been asked if brackets are available for this camera. Although previously we have said no, as of last week we are now able to offer two different mounts.

The first mount is the HikVision DS-1259ZJ ceiling mount. This is designed for the 2112 dome and can be fitted easily with only a few mounting screws. Once fitted, the camera looks stylish and allows users to attach the camera to the ceiling.

The other option is the HikVision DS-1258ZJ wall mount bracket. Once again this mount is designed for the 2112 dome and can be fitted easily with only a few mounting screws. The 2112 looks great attached to this mount and is especially useful for mounting the camera outside. We used this mount to help capture our comparison footage and found it easy to use and ideal for this camera.

The introduction of these new cameras has given customers a much wider selection to choose from and will mean that they are able to select a camera that better suits their application. The functionality of these cameras is only increased by the introduction of the two brackets.
