NTP sync not working

Hi.

My hikvision DS-2DE4A220IW-DE camera does not want to sync to the time server.
Iam using these settings:
Server: time.windows.com
Port: 123

However, using the same settings within the same network but on a different Hikvision camera (DS-2CD2120F-IW) works fine all the time.

Any Ideas?

Hi @Roelli

Is the camera directly connected to an NVR?

Try "pool.ntp.org" for the server with port 123 again, this normally works well.

Make sure that you are running the latest firmware on the camera, which is V5.6.18

If the camera is connected to your local network rather than an NVR, make sure that all of the network settings are correct, which are explained from step 2 in this guide:
 
Thanks so much! Now it works. :)
And, even better.. other another problem is also fixed now.
I could not have access to the cameras trough VPN connection.

So the reason for the "no NTP Sync" and "no access to camera with VPN" problem was:

"IPv4 Default Gateway" was incorrect.

Some time ago I changed the Network hardware. And the Gateway had changed from 192.168.1.150. Which was 192.168.1.1 before.
And.. this was the problem! :rolleyes:
