OCX Plugin

I have purchased an unbranded turret ip cam.

I have logged into on board software to configure but no image and says I need to download ocx Plugin. Whenever I click on hyperlink my virus software kicks in and says the hyperlinked site is blacklisted url.

I have tried downloading other ocx Plugin but if indeed not also virus laden, I just end up with two files that appear to do nothing.

How do I get the ocx download & use it. I dont ever recall having this problem with other ip cams

I'm not familiar with an OCX plugin, but very often the trick is to:

1. Download the plugin
2. Restart your computer
3. Immediately upon restart, before using any other tool or program, Run & install the downloaded plugin
4. Then restart and try your browser again to view video

In other words, the plugins typically fail to install / work properly if the browser is already in use.
