Hi folks,
I have an underwater IP camera connected to a OYN X Kestrel 4 Channel NVR. The camera comes with an Ethernet connection and a power. The camera is supposed to be functional using POE. The problem I'm having is that I can only get signal from the camera when I plug it into the single RJ45 self adaptive Ethernet interface. I can't get any signal from the 4 POE sockets, It can't be found on a search (with or without its own power supply). I have perfect picture and PTZ control over the camera through the Ethernet socket but it has to use a separate power supply and won't record anything. I've ordered a cat5e cable to be delivered tomorrow in the event that the cat7 cable I'm currently using is the problem but other than that I'm at a loss!
Any advice would be much appreciated
