Hi,

I'm wanting to use my Wansview 1080P W2 IP cam with Wifi and want to strip out the existing wiring to connect only DC power direct into the camera housing.
- that way I don't need the bulky RJ45 connector block etc.

Can anyone advise which 2 of the cables within the combined cabling supplied with the camera are the DC+ & DC- so I can correctly attach the power supply after removing the shopped cabling & connectors?

Thanks

Hi Lukef,
As you can know, there are 3 cords, one is for Reset button(white button), one is for JR45 cable, another is for power jack.
The camera supports WiFi connection, you don't have to use JR45 cable to connect the camera, only need to connect the camera to WiFi and then power it on, then it can work with 2.4Gh WiFi. If you have problem, you can contact Wansview Customer Email.

Hopefully I'm not too late to advise NOT to cut the RJ45 socket off. You should be able to bundle it in to a box even if it is not easily accessible. However, there may be occasions when temporary direct connection, be it to a router or a laptop, may make sense.
