PTZ Control over Internet

Hi Folks,

I have a random notion I need some advice/help with.

I have numerous DVRs I manage in various locations over the country.
All DVRs can be viewed using a generic CMS program on my windows laptop.

My query is, could I connect an RS232/RS485 joystick to my laptop in some way, to send the signal over internet to a specific DVR?
Or will I need to use the pain in the backside point and click interface on the CMS?

The DVRs are Floureon branded.

In my experience, if you connect a USB joystick keyboard to a PC or laptop it works with what is on-screen.
i.e. integrates with the CCTV software you are using.
