Running network cameras over the LAN

I want to add some network cameras to a Hikvision DVR by IP. I know bandwidth will be used when the cameras are viewed remotely.

How does this effect the network the cameras will be on.Will multiple cameras slow the network down or will it be hardly noticeable due to the cameras being wired? Is it better to run all cams and DVR to a POE switch with a link to router, rather than cams routing to the router and a link from router to DVR, or will there be no difference with all the camera traffic going directly through router to DVR.

You will probably not notice any bandwidth problems.
Consider our office as a worst-case example.
One router - NVRs and cameras all over the shop, whilst our team work on the network / internet all day with no detriment.
