Siemens Sistore AX - network and login setup

Hi all,

I've been forced to use this old equipment

I need to connect PC with Sistore AX software with Siemens Sistore AX Lite Digital Video Recorder with 4 cameras. And I dont have any documentation about this setup.

Can I directly connect the PC with the player? Or I have to use a switch in between?
Do addresses have to be static?
What is a common User ID and Password for this type of equipment?

No experience with that particular kit, but generally speaking it is best to add the recorder to your LAN and to have your router manage your LAN and device IP addresses via DHCP.
Your PC being on the same LAN.
