Utilising Unused POE Ports

I have a Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1/4P/A which has only 2 ports being used.

I don't suppose anyone knows whether you can utilise one of the unused ports to power a POE switch (Netgear GS105PE)? I have a POE switch and no spare sockets in the vacinity so I was wondering whether I could power this switch of of one of the unused ports in essence using the POE capability of the NVR?

Anyone done anything like this before?

I doubt that it would work.
It would be very hard to network access anything connected in that way.
If it could take its power from the POE of one of the camera ports it would also be joining that sub-domain network managed by the NVR for cameras.

I can’t see any problem with it, provided you get enough power from the NVR. An unmanaged switch doesn’t become part of any network as it doesn’t care about IP addressing.
