I am trying to get my VCC-HD4000 running with Synologys Server and Surveillance Station software.

It will not recognise the came as it says my setting are wrong. Looking through the manual and the net I cannot find what the source path should be can anyone help.?

Hi aircub,

This info from a previous support conversation may lead you to something helpful?

You can also gain access to the camera without establishing session. (no session) Please refer 6.4.1 (page 62 & 63) Use "Anonymous user log in" and "No session management"

Page numbers refer to the camera manual.
Let me know if that moves you forward at all.

Hmmm I'll have to try to find out what manual Sanyo were referring to ...

I'll get back to you.

aircub,

I think the source path should be some version of this:

http : //192.168.0.2/liveimg.cgi (Ex. IP address = “192.168.0.2”)

As you have already set the IP address in your Synology unit you probably only need the /liveimg.cgi part.

You may also need to set compression to JPEG for this to work.

A server path of:
/liveimg.cgi?serverpush=1&jpeg=1
works for an HD3300 on a different DVR.
The HD3300 and HD4000 are the same engine so that should work.
