Xvision connected to Uniview

Hi
I generally install uniview NVR's with the same make IP cameras, all very simple.
I have had to supply a new NVR for offices, the Uniview 16 channel should be Onvif compliant as far as I can see. However, trying to add Xvision Pro HD cameras to the system, the NVR is not seeing the cameras at all.
All the usual settings checked, although I am at the low end for info on this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

have sussed it
Feed all camera's via an poe switcher and connect the uplink to the Ethernet port of the NVR rather than a poe port.
