Mobotix Q24 Hemispheric IP Dome Camera MX-Q24M-Sec-D11
Hi, I would like to fit one of these cameras into my shop and view remotely from my office through broadband, is this relatively straight forward to set up or would I need a 'qualified engineer'?
Question by: Bob on 29 Sep 2011 17:14:56
It depends on your technical ability really; you need to be able to set the camera up at site on the local area network, then configure the router at site to permit you to access and view the camera (port forwarding & firewall rules), and finally be able to find your camera site on the world wide web (either by means of a fixed IP address for the camera site or using a service such as DynDNS.com to provide you with a free friendly url that tracks the site's changing/dynamic IP address).

What system should I install to watch my camera Q24 on a tv screen ?
I would like to be able to have the quad view
Any possibility to watch the playback as well?
Question by: laurent on 6 Jan 2010 13:47:38
I can't think of an easy way to do this. Mobotix Q24 is a network camera, with no HDMI output (or similar) for TV.
You need to run the Mobotix software on a PC for quad views.
If you have a PC with an HDMI output, then you could connect your TV to that PC and simply select that channel input into the TV when you wish to view the Q24, but the Q24 would actually be on the network, connected to the PC, which would be running the Mobotix software, and you would effectively be using your TV as a PC monitor.
Hope that helps ...

I thought the Mobotix Q24 was supplied with an SD card but there doesn't seem to be one supplied in the box.
Question by: Brian on 15 Oct 2009 22:42:47
Mobotix supply the Q24 camera with a 4GB SD card pre-installed. The 'slot' isn't normally visible. You need to remove the four screws that hold the rear cover on and remove that cover to access the memory card.
You can upgrade to a maximum 32GB memory card.

They have great PQ and a two way SIP phone built in, the company is better at hardware then they are at software. Very easy to install and setup for basic viewing and recording. Try any other analytic... Fair/GoodReview by Rob
I probably would recommend this camera to a friend but am not sure if it is the best value for money, and was disappointed with microphone quality. The hemispheric capabilities of the camera are a mas...
