Could you summarize what software and hardware would be needed with these cameras for the following system requirements:
Multiple Sanyo VCC-HD2300P cameras set at 1080p HD resolution with footage recorded at this resolution and viewable, search-able and archived etc then displayed on a 1080p resolution monitor.

You can connect any of the Sanyo HD IP cameras to a QNAP network video recorder (NVR). If you select a QNAP NVR from their PRO range you can then connect an HD/1080P monitor and a mouse directly to the NVR.
The QNAP NVRs are provided with their CCTV recording software on board, you just need to add the appropriate number of standard 3.5" SATA hard drives of up to 2TeraBytes each e.g. a VS-2008PRO is a 2-bay network video recorder (2 bays equals two off 2TB HDDs) and the 8 suffix denotes that it can accept up to eight IP cameras.
The NVR and the IP cameras all connect back to your network switch, if you'd like to use power over ethernet for a simple single cable installation for each camera then you can either use a POE switch or add individual POE injectors for each camera. Please bear in mind that Sanyo do not provide power supplies with their IP cameras.
You'll also need to select an appropriate (megapixel) lens, to deliver the field of view that you wish to cover.
And if they're to be used outdoors a suitable weatherproof camera housing, or perhaps just a camera mounting bracket for use indoors.
Our Frequently Bought Together section on the product page indicates the accessories that you'd typically need, but if you'd like further help and advice please don't hesitate to give us a call and we can put together a full shopping list quotation for you.
I hope that helps ...

Yes, the Sanyo VCC-HD2300, 2500, 3300 & 3500 are all true day/night cameras, which means that they automatically switch from colour to monochrome when light levels drop to a certain level, and that they have an infra-red cut filter which switches in & out in front of the image chip.
The IR cut filter is in place in front of the sensor during daylight hours and prevents infra-red from entering the camera sensor chip and affecting the colour rendition.
At night, the camera switches to monochrome mode, the IR cut filter is moved aside, and the camera can make full use of IR light.
Only monochrome cameras can use IR light.
Monochrome cameras are also much more light sensitive than colour cameras anyway, thereby giving you the best possible camera performance in low-light conditions.

Yes, all the Sanyo HD IP cameras are supplied with their VA-SW50-Lite software on a CD in the box. This allows you to view and configure the cameras, but does not allow you to record video.
You can download a free version of their VA-SW50 full software for recording. The free demo is limited to just one camera. You can access it from the right column in the blog section of our website.
