Product Questions (3)
We want to record a mixing desk audio feed with the camera footage to the sd card.
can we feed this external audio in to allow this?
Question by: JOhn Mc on 26 Sep 2012 08:46:45
Firstly, I need to point out that Sanyo withdrew from the CCTV sector in March 2012 and there are very limited stocks remaining - we have one 'Open Box' unit.
What you require may be achievable, but recording audio with the video limits the video resolution to a lower setting.
These were great cameras for their video performance, but we did encounter issues with sevral customer applications where audio was also needed.

This model is now shown as "superceded".
By what model has it been replaced?
Question by: Steve on 11 Mar 2012 12:20:29
Superceded is pretty much our default stamp when manufacturers make their IP cameras End-of-Life. Unfortunately, in this case we're struggling with what to recommend as a best-fit replacement.
The Sanyo PTZs have been especially popular due to their ability to connect via HDMI, as well as their cost-effective HD PTZ capability. No other PTZ IP camera offers this price/performance at the moment.
Sanyo have withdrawn from the CCTV / IP camera market.
Panasonic have bought their rights, but are not continuing the HD IP camera range.
Perhaps take a look at the new Sony PTZ IP camera models EP/ER521, EP/ER550, EP/ER580 or the Axis P55 series.

Is there a way to switch the fan off on the camera or reduce the noise. I want to install them into a quiet office environment and concerned that the fan may be heard.
Question by: Matt on 29 Dec 2011 00:12:59
I've just powered-up a Sanyo VCC-HD5400 PTZ on my desk, the fan noise is quite minimal even when sat right next to it (a teenager sat six feet away couldn't hear it at all).
Unfortunately, there's no option in the camera settings to disable the fan.
