My NVR powered down and when I powered it back up the interface online showed all my cameras disconnected. When I went to the IP address for the cameras they were all showing up. How do I get them to show back up on my NVR interface?

Has your Vivotek NR8301 NVR gone into 'repair' mode - orange flashing LED?
In which case it should fix itself, but may take some time to do so (dependant on the capacity of your HDDs).
In case you see the problem again, it is worth upgrading to the latest firmware version (currently 1.0.670) - downloadable from Vivotek.com.
If it is not in repair mode, try rebooting from the user interface via your browser.
If problems persist we can arrange for Vivotek Tech Support to log in remotely and assist you.

After power loss it is not starting automatically. You have to send someone every time to turn it on!!! Even with the newest firmware the problem persists. Vivotek knows about it but refused to fix it. Is there a way to have it always on?

The best option would probably be to install an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to ensure that the power to the Vivotek NVR is maintained.
