Details
Vivotek VAST2 is an easy-to-use IP video management software (VMS) that has been designed specifically to meet the needs of its real-world users. There are many exciting advancements that come with VAST2, including easy operation on single or multiple monitors, custom layout to accommodate both corridor and panoramic views, rapid export of multi-channel video and the acquisition of VCA analytics and cybersecurity attack events from Vivotek cameras and NVRs in a hierarchical system structure.
This software (VAST2) is integrated with Vivotek's LPR solution, Cybersecurity Management solution, Smart VCA and Smart Search II. Cybersecurity attacks and Smart VCA events can be searched and replayed in Event Search and be set as triggers in Alarm Management. As well as this Smart Seach II allows users to search for specific objects or people, users can also draw a custom zone to focus on any critical areas within a scene.
Thanks to the use of automatic configuration wizards VAST2 can reduce the time and cost of installing multiple camera surveillance systems. VAST2 provides its users with an intuitive UI with a wealth of features such as logical tree, camera configuration, archive management and recording schedule backup solutions.
Users of VIVOCloud can add Vivotek's ND series NVRs to VAST2 via their account and operate this NVR on VAST2 as a substation. This enables users to enjoy the comprehensive functions of the VMS system. VAST2 users can configure which alarm types they want to be notified of, this reduces this instance of irrelevant alarm notifications. As well as this in order to improve the usability of the Data Magnet application, users are able to click on Data Magnet source data shown on live view. VAST 2 will then search for related events automatically, providing quick and easy search results for the user.
Users can connect up to 32 channels of Vivotek IP devices for free.
Scenario:
A user adds 50 cameras to a single server
Formula:
- Camera license = total channel of cameras minus free 32 channels (for Vivotek devices)
- Total number of cameras = 50
- Free channels for Vivotek cameras = 32
- 18 camera licenses need to purchased for this scenario
Scenario:
CMS server connect with 50 cameras
Substation 1 connect with 32 cameras
Substation 2 connect with 30 cameras
The user adds two substations to CMS server
Formula:
- Camera license = total channel of cameras minus free 32 channels (for Vivotek devices)
- Total number of cameras = 50 + 32 + 30 = 112
- Free channels for Vivotek cameras = 32
- 80 camera licenses need to be purchased for this scenario
Scenario:
In this case, the user used 3 active-servers for recording. The channel of each active-server is 32, 40 and 50. The user uses 2 redundant-servers for backing up their servers.
Formula:
- Camera license = total channel of cameras minus free 32 channels (for Vivotek devices)
- Substations failover license = the number of channels on the active server hosting the largest number of cameras multiplied by the number of redundant servers
- The channel of camera for each active server = 32, 40 and 50
- Free channels for Vivotek cameras = 32
- Number of redundant servers = 2
- 90 camera licenses and 100 failover licenses need to be purchased for this scenario
Users can use the redundant server to takeover the CMS, no matter what number of active servers and cameras under this CMS.
Scenario:
CMS server connects with 50 cameras, and the user used 1 redundant-server for CMS. There are 3 active-servers for recording, and the channel of each active-server is 32, 40 and 50.
- CMS failover license = the number of CMS
- Total number of cameras = 50 + 32 + 40 + 50 = 172
- Free channels for Vivotek cameras = 32
- Number of redundant servers = 2
- Number of redundant server for CMS = 1
- 140 camera licenses, 100 substations failover licenses and 1 CMS failover license need to be purchased for this scenario
POS License and Camera Licenses are charged separately.
Scenario:
The single server connected with 50 cameras
The user adds two POS to single server
Formula:
- POS license = total number of POS terminals
- Camera license = total channel of cameras minus free 32 channels (for Vivotek devices)
- Total number of POS terminals = 2
- Total number of cameras = 50
- Free channels for Vivotek cameras = 32
